This complaint stemmed from a high conflict family law matter which includes allegations of bullying, intimidation, abuse, racism, corruption, collusion, bias, cover up, fabrication, disregard of the rule of law and of civil, human and Charter rights. The complainant alleged that the judge involved in this case “teamed-up” with the complainants wife, her lawyer, the psychologists, the police and other experts to deprive him of his rights. He requested the Council’s immediate intervention to have his children returned to him and that everyone involved in this case be dismissed or removed.

In the Council’s response, the complainant was advised that in family matters the judge is responsible in providing service that is in the best interest of the child. As the Council is not allowed to intervene on the judicial decision making process, the request for intervention was denied. With a review of the audio-recordings, it was apparent that the judge acted in a respectful and courteous manner throughout the hearing. The judge had even allowed two separate opportunities for the legal teams to consult each other and to reflect on the intended course of action. As the complainant made serious allegations about the judge without any evidence to support it, it was determined to be an abuse of the complaint process. The matter was dismissed.
