In a family matters case regarding the custody of a child, the complainant alleged that the judge seemed to show a lack of integrity and good judgment, to be biased against all women in custody matters, that he was neglectful and that his conduct was reprehensible, underhanded and unbefitting of a judge. She alleges that the judge did not act objectively and rationally when he denied her right to have an attorney and when he granted her ex-husband more access to their child. She indicates that she felt threatened by the judge. The complainant requested that the judge be removed as a family court judge.

It was clear that the complainant’s dissatisfaction was with the judge’s decision, and the Council informed the complainant that she holds the right to appeal the decision with the appropriate courts. The complainant was unable to provide substantial evidence proving that the allegations were true, and the matter was closed.
